Scripps Pier California.

Enjoying the wide open spaces on a Southern California Beach as the sun rises is a glorious way to start ones day. I also took the opportunity of there being no one around to photograph the the pier that I have wanted to photograph for a decade or more.

I have always wanted to capture a stunning sunset over the pier and while that never happened this time around, I think the soft pastel sunrise colours brought about a calming aspect I have not seen photographed at the pier, plus is there anything more calming that wandering a wide open beach as the sun rises.
