Aerial Over City Beach Coastline

From an aerial perspective, the coastline at City Beach appears as a long, elegant curve where the deep blue of the Indian Ocean gently meets wide, pale sand.

From above, the ocean often looks layered in soft bands of color. Closest to shore, the water turns a translucent turquoise where sunlight penetrates the shallows. Slightly farther out, it deepens to aquamarine and then to a calm, darker blue. On particularly still days, the surface appears almost glassy, broken only by faint ripples and slow, evenly spaced lines of white foam where small waves roll toward the beach.

The sand stretches in a broad ribbon, bright and nearly white against the water. From the air, subtle textures become visible—wind-shaped ripples. When the ocean is calm, the whole scene feels quiet and expansive from above, the sea breathing slowly against the land, while the coastline heads gracefully north and south—an understated, peaceful meeting of sand, water, and sky.
