Akaka Falls State Park Hawaii

Plunging over 420 feet into small pool Akaka Falls is one of the Big Islands most stunning waterfalls, even the short hike in is breathtaking surrounded by giant Ti plants, bird of paradise, torch ginger, bamboo, and split leaf philodendron.

You hear the falls well before you come to full view from the short hike in. I remember air smelling incredibly fresh and vibrant with so much green foliage and wildlife around the whole area seems to be a small garden if eden inside an already amazing garden that is the Big Island of Hawaii.
