Ancient Stone Karijini

Some of the oldest rock formations on Earth lie in the north of Western Australia around the Pilbara region with estimates these rock formations are around 4 billion years old.

I found this scene right beneath my feet and the large crack that could of formed 4 billion years ago along with the vibrant colours of the stone. The scene was so strong I knew it would make an exceptional abstract image from Karijini National Park Western Australia.
