Fjadrargljufur Canyon Iceland

Fjadrargljufur Canyon just off the main highway is a stunning canyon around 2 miles long and 100m deep with these sheer granite cliff walls and and green grasses make this location stunning.

After I hiked into the canyon I searched around for the perfect spot of capture the presence of the canyon in all its stunning beauty. I could not find the right spot and it looked like it was time to get into the creek. While it was sunny and quite warm in the sun, the water was not warm at all in fact is was pretty much snow melt and I could only spent 10-15sec in the water at one time as I had no warders.

This shot took me several trips into the water to capture but in the end I was very happy with the results I achieved with this stunning image of the canyon.
