Godafoss Iceland

Godafoss, waterfall of the gods as Icelandic legend has it. One this very cold morning we hiked right to the base of the falls.

As the sun was rising the colour of sunrise was about to peak so I scrambled as fast as I could up to a high point to capture not just the waterfalls themselves but also the amazing sky and mountain backdrop that was unfolding right before my eyes.

After taking this image I could not help but stop for a few moments and realise where I was and what I was actually witnessing and I captured it perfectly on camera.
