Hamersley Gorge Karijini
Hamersley Gorge Karijini
The most spectacular of gorges within the Karijini National Park is Hamersley Gorge which itself is a long way off the beaten tourist path being around 100km from the other gorges like Weano, Hancock and Rose gorge. Being that far away and not getting as many visitors was one reason I really wanted to get there this season.
Hiking within the Hamersely Gorge is spectacular with so much breathtaking scenery around you, I came across this series of pools leading down to the main gorge and was stopped in my tracks by the stunning orange reflections of the granite walls in the pools that I had to set up this shot to capture the shear beauty of this location. I added the small waterfall to the right to add some scale and balance to the overall colours and reflections.
